I guess I missed the point of this book. It was not terrible, but I also wasn't really impressed with it. I read this book solely because it was written by JK Rowling. It is not my usual genre of choice, but I was curious about JK's foray into a new genre. While I was not expecting children's or even fantasy literature, I was expecting more from this book. I felt that it was missing something. There were some scenes that kept me turning pages, but I found most of the book a struggle. It never fully caught my attention, so I was reading to finish, not out of pure interest. There were a lot of characters, and I was probably at least 150 pages in before I could keep them all straight.Even though I did not love this book, I would definitely choose to read anything else JK publishes, but I think I'll prefer her children's books to any adult ones.
